Musical/Artistic Director

James still thoroughly enjoys helping other bands out as musical director across the South of the UK. James is comfortable conducting bands of any standard and level, this could be from youth bands through to Championship Section.

James is fortunate to cover a huge amount of areas with his job, therefore is often likely to be in an area near you.

James has experienced much success with as a conductor from a young age. Some personal highlights have been:

Consecutive hat-trick qualifying for the National Finals of Great Britain with Usk Brass Band at the first attempt.
Winning the 2014 Area with Blaenavon Band at the first attempt of asking.
Managing to ascertain 'top 200 ranking status' for both Rogerstone and Blaenavon Bands.

James also enjoys mentoring various chamber groups.
