SERVICES

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the site. Whether you're looking for brass lessons, arranging a concert/event or looking for a musical director... my aim is to help create good music and fun occasions.

Unfortunately in a world where the economic climate isn't easy, I believe we must hold on to our traditions like music. Too much press illuminates the fact that funding for the arts is dying.

Therefore, my simple mission statement, is to do my bit to help sustain it for as long as possible.

‘James is a fiercely determined and innovative conductor. His commitment to player development is quite unique. His standards are unrelenting but his results speak for themselves. He believes that nothing is impossible.’

Teacher

"Jamie is a dedicated and extremely talented teacher, who always seems to teach you something new every lesson! His background of a performance degree has equipped him with an advanced knowledge of playing and teaching, making him the ideal tutor for any aspiring performer. He proved the right choice for me in that respect, playing a vital role in helping me to gain a place at the RWCMD, and transforming me as a player. He comes highly recommended!"

Thomas Dunne - Euphonium player of Filton Band

Arranger

"A very clever arranger and composer of music. His music is extremely moving and always so understated. His arrangement of 'Abide with me' for Usk Band's Remembrance concert in 2018, left the audience in tears. I have never felt such emotion from listening to a brass band.

Event Organiser/Compere

"There's never a dull moment when James introduces our events. Last year James compered our charity event helping us to raise an enormous amount for charity. A great blend of serious and informative speech with many interjections of humour! It was his idea at the end of the night to start a random but highly successful auction of a left over prize worth no money at all achieving a huge sum."
